Duke – 5 year old male Bulldog

Duke is a 5 year old Aylestone Bulldog, he was adopted in April but sadly needs to come back. He is currently living with 2 other dogs which he loves but he is too much for them and becoming a bit of bother with the oldest one. He also living with children which again he is great with. Duke is a large dog that needs a home that has breed experience, he is a very strong dog and needs more time put into him with his training. He can become very excitable when going on walks and is very strong, he can walk lovely on the lead but if he see’s something he will pull to get to it.

Duke is very affectionate lad and loves to have cuddles, he can be abit demanding with this though and will push in to get a cuddle. Duke is currently living with cats also but he isnt doing so well with them so he can not placed with small furries. Duke would be best suited as the only dog BUT with the right home and owner we feel he could live with a calm female, he can also live with children 10 years up due to his size. Duke is neutered, vaccinated, chipped and up to date with flea and wormer.

Duke can be nervous of such situations i.e if someone moves to quickly or if there are groups of unfamiliar / loud people he will tuck his tail between his legs and scrunch his little face up and turn away. Duke does bark when the postman comes, and can get quiet agitated with it. He also has a problem with food guarding so feeding separate is a must. All of these things can be helped.
