Dumpling – 5 year old female Corgi cross Dachshund

Dumpling is a 5 year old Corgi cross Dachshund. I hope we can find her a home that will love her and cherish her. That will see the love she has to offer hidden behind all this pain and fear and work with her to combat this. Dumpling has had a lot of abuse and she has lived the last 3 years in a feral dog pack avoiding humans wherever possible before she came to Pupcakes. Despite this she isn’t aggressive in the slightest.

Just so very scared. You can corner her and stroke her but she will freeze in fear. She will take treats from your hand very cautiously but will keep looking out for an exit to dash away to. She is clean and quiet in the house and wonderful with other dogs. I live for the moments I see her out of the window running around playing with other dogs. Her guard completely let down, just joyous and free. My heart breaks to think of what she has been through.

We are searching for the ideal, impossible to find, mystical, mythical creature; an adopter for Dumpling. (We are basically looking for the human equivalent of a unicorn) She will need a home with time and patience to help her trust humans again. She has made a great deal of progress whilst in foster but needs a forever home with 1 on time to take her further. She will also need to live with another confident dog to show her the way. Dumpling is fine with cats. She is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and will be subject to a homecheck and adoption fee. Dumpling will also come with 4 weeks free insurance and a voucher for a box of free food.
