Dylan – 8 year old male Labrador Retriever

Dylan is an adorable 8 year old Labrador Retriever boy who is in an Oldies Club foster home in East Grinstead, West Sussex, waiting for someone to offer him a permanent home. Dylan settled into his foster home immediately and is a well-behaved lad who seems happy to be left for 3-4 hours.

Dylan is laid-back in his relationships with other dogs. He lived with Amy the Cocker Spaniel who came into our care with Dylan, but they didn’t interact with one another at all, and, as Amy needed a different type of home to Dylan, we are rehoming them separately. When Amy moved to her new foster home, Dylan didn’t even seem to notice! Dylan has lived with a cat in the past who he was apparently very good with, but his owner said he would chase other cats out of the garden.

Dylan has been great with his foster carer’s 11 and 15 year old children. He might knock small children over unintentionally though, as he is quite a big and bouncy, enthusiastic lad! Dylan is strong and sometimes pulls on the lead so he will benefit from further lead training. His foster carer hasn’t tried letting him off lead yet. Dylan is good in the car.

Dylan’s favourite pastimes: Eating; Going for walks; Being fussed; Playing with toys (fetch is a particular favourite); Having his tummy tickled.

He’d love to be part of an active family who will take him for long walks, play with him, fuss him and generally spend time with him. Since coming into our care Dylan has been vet-checked and is in good health. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea-treated.

Dylan’s foster carer sums him up: Gorgeous; Friendly; Bouncy; Affectionate. Dylan is my favourite foster dog, and if I was going to have a dog permanently – he would be my choice!
