Dylan – 8 year old male Boxer
Dylan is an 8 year old Boxer dog who came into our care after being signed over because the owner could not cope with his typical Boxer ways after apparently finding him stray two months previously. It turned out that he was microchipped and we traced the person on his records but they did not want him back. Dylan is really lovely, and so typical of his breed with high energy levels and interest in toys. No, forget that, he LOVES his toys and will not give them back unless it is exchange for another one of a treat!
In fact Dylan will do anything for food and so he has quickly picked up new commands although he had the basics in place already. Despite being 8 he is a lively, boisterous boy who bounces around in a happy-go-lucky manner. He isn’t bothered by other dogs when out on walks, although he is very strong and we currently walk him on a harness and he would definitely benefit from lead training, he could live with another well behaved dog.
He ideally needs a home with an experienced Boxer owner who can temper his boisterous tendencies. Dylan’s sunny disposition coupled with a very handsome dog makes him a winner in our eyes, but he is cheeky and will try and pinch treats out of your pocket if he can! The home he is looking for is with an experienced Boxer dog owner and preferably without very young children.
