This is Dylan, he’s six years old and looks to be a Husky cross Sheltie. Dylan has cataracts and is blind, we have had this assessed and it is not fixable, he has spent his entire life on a chain because no one knew how to care for a blind dog. Now he’s here, he relishes the freedom, he spends all his time in the garden, lying in the sun.
Dylan can live happily with other dogs and cats, he doesn’t really interact with them as obviously he can’t see them. He likes people and comes when you call him, it just takes him a little time to find you but he copes admirably, because he is blind he needs a home without small children as they may prove overwhelming for him.
I can’t overstate how great Dylan is, he’s an absolute trooper and just gets on with being a happy dog who doesn’t let his disability hold him back, he enjoys walks on a short lead so he can feel secure and close to his family. Adopting Dylan is going to be the best thing someone ever does, he’s truly amazing. Dylan is fostered in Bloxwich (FR037).
