Ebbie - 5 month old female Preso Canario cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Ebbie is a 5 month old Preso Canario cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier female puppy looking for a home, she has had a very rough start so will need an understanding and loving new home. Ebbie was bought from her breeders by a couple of lads who tried to bring her on as a fighting dog. They were extremely rough with her and she has been physically abused. This was to bring out the fighting spirit. They also starved her to encourage her to fight. Ebbie is not a fighter though and retreated far into her shell.

A lady was out walking her dogs when she met these men walking her across a field. By this time they had decided to either sell her for £100 or use her for breeding. The woman offered to take her for nothing or report them after hearing the story and this was enough of a scare tactic to them that they handed her over to her free of charge.

Ebbie arrived last night and is indeed an extremely fearful little puppy. She is undernourished, had Sarcoptic Mange and fleas (now treated). She is great with the other dogs, ignores the cats and also ignores the smaller caged animals. She loves her food (no surprise there as she has spent a long time going without) and has shown signs of being snappy towards other dogs when she has food (although she has shown none of that here). Ebbie is going to need some building up as she is very skinny. We are starting a regular feeding regime for her now.

Ebbie is having her first vaccinations and microchip tomorrow. She is far too underweight to spay at the moment and a little young too. Spaying will have to be done as part of the adoption agreement and this will be followed up and checked on.

Ebbie will need a secure garden to run around with a minimum of a 6 foot fence. No young children because of her nervous nature. Ebbie needs to be house-trained as this has never been enforced in her previous home. A homecheck will be required.
