Elmo – 3 year old male Cross-Breed

Elmo is an approximately 3 year old neutered male, originally rescued from a public shelter in Romania. Elmo is a very cuddly boy who likes attention, but on his terms! He can be choosy with people and some dogs, although gets on very well with his current female fellow resident dog. He is a very loyal friend but needs a home without children, ideally somewhere fairly quiet without lots of visitors.

Elmo is housetrained and can be left alone for a while. He would suit a strict routine. He can be posessive with toys and affection but is happy to wait his turn for food and treats. He is keen to learn and easy to train. He walks well on a lead, his recall is really very good, unless he sees something worth chasing!

Elmo has been in a home environment since he arrived to BARC a few months ago and is very much loved, but sadly Elmo is finding the busy family home too stressful and the difficult decision has been made to find Elmo a place where he will be truly comfortable and stress free.

If you can offer the lovely little Elmo a calm, quiet home of his own you will truly be rewarded with a loving, loyal companion for life.

Beacon Animal Rescue Centre (BARC)
For further details regarding adopting a dog from Beacon Animal Rescue Centre (BARC) in Canterbury, Kent, please email info@barc.uk.com (please allow around 48 hours for a reply, our phone number is for emergencies only). Please note, an adoption fee applies. Our ethos is a modest one; to save one life at a time. We believe that animals deserve a chance for a better life no matter where they are born in the world. That is why BARC are committed to rescuing dogs and cats from both within the UK, as well as rescuing animals from countries where they face extreme hardships and have no other alternatives, like Romania. In the future we also hope to be able to contribute towards neutering programmes in countries that need it most.
