Elmo is a tiny Sheltie cross. His passport states him to be four years old but I think he’s probably a bit younger. Elmo is fostered in fostered in Hingham, Norfolk (FR006). Elmo was recently rescued from the Radauti shelter in Romania in an attempt to save as many small vulnerable dogs as we can before the harsh winter kills them. On arrival it was discovered that under that thick coat is not much more than a skeleton and I’m so thankful we got him when we did because I do think any later would have been too late.
Elmo is a shy little boy who loves a cuddle but isn’t confident enough to ask for one. He is gentle and submissive with other dogs and has been fine with my dog savvy children. A rowdy household would be too much for him but I’m sure in time in a steady household he will become bolder and braver.
This quiet and gentle boy is already pleased to see me when I enter a room and will wag his tail but will cower when I approach to pick him up. He needs a little time and a little patience but he’s just a sensitive little soul crying out to be loved.
