Elsa is a 5 year old female Labrador Cross. Elsa is a rescue from Cyprus who is now in foster in Basingstoke, here is a little about her. Elsa is very gentle, calm and placid. She walks well on her lead and uses a harness as she prefers this to a collar. She is good with food, and does not fight over treats. Elsa will still scavenge for food and raid a bin if the opportunity is given to her. Elsa is very wary of other dogs, and will snap if they invade her space. However she is warning them rather than being really aggressive. Elsa is good with humans, and may be a little nervous at first until she gets to know you. She is good with children and has been introduced to small baby where she was very gentle and inquisitive. She hasn’t met cats or other small furry animals so we are not sure how she will react to them.
Elsa is now fully house trained. She is fed in her crate at feed times and uses a crate if her foster mum pops out. She has not been left for any length of time in the crate, as there is normally someone always home. At night Elsa is told when it is bedtime and she goes to her chair, she will stay there throughout the night, without a sound. Elsa has not been left on her own. She worries a little if her foster mum goes out but settles down after few minutes. Elsa would thrive in a calm environment preferably no other dogs. She loves her walks in the forest each day so new owners would need to be able to walk her at least half hour to an hour. She will sleep for 4 hours when she has a walk. Elsa loves the garden but enjoys her home comforts more! She loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa. She enjoys being brushed and has no health issues.
Elsa is only beginning to learn English words for instructions, what she has learned has come easily and she will do most things for a treat! Some work is still needed on her recall, possibly down to commands in a different language. She has recently learned how to play with toys and now loves to play, especially with soft toys and a ball. Elsa is small Springer Spaniel size. She only has a half of one ear. She is very gentle natured, and would love nothing more than being an only dog and being spoiled with love so she gains her trust back. Once you have gained her trust she will be a loyal, forever companion. She has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Adoption is subject to home check.
