Fawn Girl

Thisr lovely fawn (with black mask) Japanese Akita was picked up as a stray in Barnsley yesterday morning, she has had pups in the last few weeks, the pound staff estimate her to be about 4 years old. She is tiny, her back came up to my knee but she is definitly full Akita. She has just come to the attention of the Akita Rescue & Welfare Trust, but desperately needs to find a new home before this weekend.

She seemed very scared and nervous, has lots of fur missing from her back legs and looks as though she has been kept chained up. Her claws are incredibly long, so she has either been a stray for a while or neglected – I think it’s probably the latter. Seems like a really sweet young girl, took a treat from me fine. She’d probaby be best suited to maybe an older couple / owner with her being smaller.
