Febe – 1 year old female Cross-Breed

Febe is a lovely and affectionate 1 year old female Cross-Breed. She had a very hard start in life and was a lonely, anxious little girl when she first came to us. However, she blossomed so much and really tore on the heart strings of her foster mum, that her foster mum fell madly in love with her and kept her. With great upset and regret, circumstances have changed for the foster mum and she is unable to keep Febe. It is with a heavy heart that Febe is looking for her new forever home. However, Febe has now had a wonderful life this year and has had the best start into the adoption process and we hope that Febe will find her new home really quickly giving minimum stress to her and her foster mum. Febe has really grown in confidence and although still initially wary of strangers, after gentle introduction she soon becomes relaxed and is used to other people coming to the house.

Febe loves her walks which she gets every day over the fields and will approach other dog walkers when out and about. Her recall is good with the normal treat incentive. Like all dogs, she occasionally becomes interested in something that distracts her from coming back immediately, but she does always come back and never wanders far away from where you are. She loves to play with other dogs and has great games of chase with some of the other dogs she regularly meets. She is friendly and well mannered with other dogs. Febe will need someone who is prepared to give her two good walks a day (45 minutes or more twice a day) off lead in order for Febe to fulfill her energy levels and mental and physical stimulation. It will also help her bond with her new owners and continue her training and development. As Febe is still a very young dog we strongly recommend training classes to further her socialization and basic command skills.

Febe is crate trained and feels happy and secure using one. She goes in it at night and during the day when left as she can become destructive if she gets bored. She is a very bright dog and needs plenty of stimulation, she plays ball, the biscuit hiding game and I use a Kong with peanut butter, if I am leaving her for any time. Febe is a good girl and completely house trained and will bark at the door to go out. She walks well on the lead, will sit and lie down to command, understands, NO, walk and bedtime.

Febe is a lovely, amusing and affectionate dog (she is allowed on the sofa and loves a cuddle). She would be best suited to someone who is around most of the day, with another doggie companion to learn the ropes from and to gain confidence and companionship and an active stimulating lifestyle. Febe is spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.

Febe is currently in Welwyn, Herts. We are looking to home her in or around this area or neighbouring counties as a home check will be done, although further afield may be possible for the right home.
