Meet the lovely Fergie! She’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who has come to us because she was abandoned. Poor Fergie has clearly had a traumatic life so far. She’s got a large lump on her face, which appears to be made of bone. Our vet thinks that she was kicked in the head and the injury has caused excess bone to develop on the side of her head. This lump will never go away, but it’s not causing her any pain.
Fergie has been used for breeding and had been neglected. She’s had a trip to The Arc vets where she has now been spayed and had a couple of rotten teeth extracted. Please don’t let Fergie’s appearance or story put you off. She is a friendly and affectionate dog who really likes being around people. Fergie would ideally like a home with an owner who has had dogs before. We think that she will make a lovely companion for anyone lucky enough to adopt her. Fergie loves to play and has been helping herself to the toys at Head Office!
Fergie has been good with dogs when out, but we don’t know if she’s ever lived with one.
