Fergus

Handsome Fergus is a 3 year old, male Springer Spaniel and Collie cross, who came to the Mayhew because his owners couldn’t cope with the responsibility of owning a dog.

He is house-trained, knows basic commands, although occasionally stubborn. He can be left alone without problems, travels will in a car and adores children. We would be prepared to home him with children aged ten and over.
 
Fergus loves playing fech, or any game at all involving balls. He also loves having his back and tummy scratched. He is an active and lively dog who needs to be kept mentally and physically stimulated. He will need at least one to two hours of off-lead exercise daily, initially on a 100ft long lead until his recall has improved.

Fergus is looking for a new loving home with an experienced owner who will take him to training classes, which he will really enjoy. His new guardians will be taking on a twelve year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

No appointment is neccessary for these times but there will be a waiting period, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays when we tend to have more visitors.
