Flash is a gorgeous 10 year old Greyhound crossbreed boy who is in an Oldies Club foster home in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire waiting for someone to offer him a wonderful permanent home. Flash seems fine with most dogs. He lived with other dogs in his previous home and his foster carer thinks he would happily live with other dogs again, though isn’t sure about small dogs. Flash doesn’t like cats and can’t live with them.
Flash would be fine to live with respectful children aged 11 years plus. He is generally a gentle dog, but he gets quite boisterous when he’s excited so wouldn’t be suitable with small children. He also doesn’t like to be pulled about, for example at the vets. Flash is an energetic oldie who loves his walks. He is best walked on a harness so that he doesn’t pull – he will pull if the lead is attached to his collar instead. His foster carer has not let him off the lead in an open space but in the garden he does return to her when she calls him, and his previous owner told us that Flash’s recall is good. He is currently having two 1-hour walks per day.
Flash’s favourite pastimes is chasing after a ball. He likes to race around the garden in short bursts. Chewing soft toys. Flash loves to meet people and have a fuss, but he might get upset about having loud, over-the-top fuss and attention forced upon him. Flash’s ideal home is somewhere with plenty of space for him to move around and a decent sized garden for him to run in. Flash is a loving boy and seems to be the type of dog that will become very attached to his owner. He will let his foster carer do anything with him as he trusts her.
Flash has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. He has arthritis in his front left paw. The vet recommended a supplement such as Musselflex.
