Fleur is a very nervous, 6 year old Bichon Frise girl who is being fostered in Crosskeys, near Newport. She is an ex-breeding girl who needs a patient home to build her confidence and help her trust in people, with another calm dog for company. Fleur is still quite nervous of people she doesn’t know and will take a little while to trust you. That said, once she does, she will be a very loyal and loving companion. We won’t rehome her with children as she is very nervous and their noise and business may set her back.
Fleur is an ex-breeding girl so will only be rehomed where there is another dog for company. Fleur can live with cats. Living in a home is all new to fleur. Her housetraining is a work in progress and she has quickly got used to all the household noises and they don’t worry her. Initially she was crated but as she is so good, she no longer uses it. As yet Fleur hasn’t been left for any period of time but we think she will be fine for part time workers if this was built up gradually.
Fleur hasn’t been out and about very much. She was sick when she went in the car but has been okay at the vets. Walking wise, she will need further training and confidence building walking on a lead and adjusting to the outside world. Her adopters will need to be patient with this. A quiet, patient home where her family are around for most of the day. Fleur will only be rehomed where she has another dog for company and is happy to live with cats.
Fleur is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet Fleur in her foster home in Crosskeys, near Newport, South Wales.
If you are interested in adopting Fleur please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form ( link here ) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
