Frankie is a 12 month old male Ibizan Hound (Podenco) Cross. Teeny weeny little tan Podenco cross Chappie only 12 months old, very sweet and happy with people and other dogs. He is quite small and petite. Found abandoned in a dried up river bed in Spain. He is now learning lead work and his basic commands. He has not met any cats yet so we do not know if he could live with one.
Fosterer’s report: Frankie is a sweet, affectionate and obedient little dog who has settled in very quickly in his foster home. He enjoys playing, either with his toys or with my own dogs, and has shown no aggression at all to them or my two cats. He likes to settle down in the evening on your lap and really enjoys his cuddles – he likes to be close to you. He enjoys his walks and is good on the lead but, although he is happy and confident indoors, he is still a little nervous of the big outside world and needs to be gradually introduced to all the new sights and sounds that he is now faced with. He would love a home with either another dog to play with or at least someone who can spend plenty of time with him as he loves company.
Current location is in a foster home in the UK. Vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, Neutered, Microchipped, Pet Passport, FREE 4 weeks Pet Insurance to be activated from the link on our website, Any known health issues NONE KNOWN.
For Dogs coming from Spain: This adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing the dog- microchip, passport, vaccines, tests for S European diseases, neutering (if old enough), parasite treatment and transport to the UK.
We can not home dogs from Spain to people who work full time or long hours, unless some sort of doggy day care is offered. They need someone at home a lot of the day, they are not used to being alone for long periods. A dog walker for an hour out of the day is not enough.
Leaving dogs a long time on their own means they are highly likely to develop separation anxiety which is distressing for them and everyone in their new home.
Adoption Fee : £ £285 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue to cover travel costs via UK bank account.
