Franklin – 6 month old male German Shepherd Cross

Franklin is a German Shepherd cross of around 6 months old. Franklins story is a sad one and very typical of the life of a Romanian stray. It was a cold Romanian winters day, the temperature had dropped to -11 degrees when Franklin’s rescuer came across a mother and her pups struggling to keep them warm. Franklin’s mother was doing all she possibly could to protect her babies but to make matters worse it was immediately discovered that not only did this poor mum have the worry of keeping her babies warm, she also was completely blind.

We can only imagine what a hard and worrying life she had living alone but to have the added worry of a little family to protect must have been even more challenging. Franklin was rescued along with his mother and siblings and is now lucky enough to be in foster in the UK. Since being in his foster home Franklin has proved to be a lovely, typical pup regardless of his bad start. He is very loving and full of energy, loves people and gets on very well with other dogs he meets. He walks well on a lead and is learning fast at being clean in the house.

Franklin is an intelligent pup and is learning his new life quickly. He can live with cats although this will need careful introduction. Franklin is a typical high energy puppy who is looking for an active home with someone who can continue his training.
