Please meet fantasic Freya and when I say fantastic, I really mean it! Freya came to SEDR as an unclaimed stray on death row in a pound. She had a huge mammary growth which is probably the reason why her previous owners threw her out like last weeks rubbish. We were determined to offer the chance to know that not all humans see her as disposable. Freya is a Jack Russell Terrier of about 5 years of age. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, deflead, wormed and neutered. Her mammary growth has been removed and sent away to be tested, the results have shown that the growth was benign and not cancerous.
Freya is in foster with myself, 4 other dogs ( Mastiff size down to Chihuahua ) my 9 year old daughter and a dog savvy cat at present. She is curled up asleep on my lap as I type this! Freya is the sweetest, most loving dog you could wish to meet. All she wants is cuddles and to sleep on your lap. She loves children and will only be rehomed to a family with children to snuggle up with…and she must be allowed to sleep on the sofa and on the bed! Freya is great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. She will chase cats – through excitement, not aggression. If the cat is dog savvy and stands their ground – she soon loses interest but would be unfair on a more nervous cat.
Freya has a pretty good recall off lead but has not been thoroughly tested. She is fine to be left and is neither noisy or destructive. As long as she has her home comforts – she is very easily pleased. She travels perfectly in the car, is a perfect patient at the vets and walks well on the lead. Whoever adopts Freya will be an incredibly lucky family. She really is the most loyal and loving dog and she will bring such joy to her forever family.
If you can offer Freya the happy ever after she truly deserves…please fill in the pre adoption form on the website
