Frodo is a seven year old Greyhound. He is our longest stayer at the rescue having waited for over two years for a home, he desperately needs a loving home. He was in a poor state physically and mentally when he arrived, but he’s come along way whilst with us. Mr Frodo eats well, sleeps a lot and faces everything life throws at him with initially, a lot of exuberance, he can be like an overgrown pup when it’s food times or walk times. This is not his character out of kennels however, he is one of the easiest dogs to walk, not bothered about other breeds of dogs, he is easily walked, and could be a great companion for an older couple as well as a younger family. He really loves being out and about and loves his walks.
Frodo has spent some time in a foster home, he was fine left for a couple of hours, apart from a few accidents initially, he was clean in the house and was happy to settle down as most Greyhounds are! Whilst in foster he was good with all other breeds he met whilst out walking and was gentle and respectful of the children he met too. Frodo spent his time in foster with another mixed breed dog and did enjoy playing with him but we would prefer him to be homed as an only dog so someone can spend time with him one to one so he can learn more about home life and be totally spoilt.
Frodo is waiting for that special somebody who can show him what life is about in a forever home, give him all the love and understanding he deserves and show him there is more to life than a kennel. Frodo is black, male and not a small Greyhound, so has been overlooked more than our other Hounds.
Frodo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and flead and wormed, he can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck
