Frodo – 9 year old male Collie cross Spaniel

Frodo is a stunning Collie cross Spaniel who has reluctantly come into the care of the rescue due to a change in his owners circumstances. Frodo is 9 years old and maybe someone should tell him that as he is very fit and energetic for his age. He still enjoys going for walks and is quite strong on the lead, but he also enjoys interaction and play, he loves to play fetch with his tennis ball or hide and seek with his toys. He is a lovely balance of energetic and calm.

Frodo has never lived with children and he can be a little wary of them so we are looking for an adult only household for Frodo. Although sometimes initially wary around other dogs, Frodo does like doggy companionship and play so could be rehomed in a home where there is already a dog. Frodo is not cat friendly.

Frodo needs a fully secure garden to keep him safe as he has been known to take himself off on an adventure in the past. He is used to being left alone for short periods of time and could be again, his new owners must appreciate that Frodo has been in his previous home since he was one year old and he may need a reasonable settling in period, just as any other dog into a new environment would.

Frodo is an obedient dog who does know his commands. He is very affectionate and adores being at your side sharing cuddles and having a fuss. Could this lovely older gent be the one that you have been looking for? If you think so, please contact us. Frodo is currently kennelled in Derbyshire.
