Ginger – 4 year old male Cross-Breed

Ginger is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. Our lovely Ginger had a horrible start in life originally from Thailand, he was rescued from the illegal dog meat trade there. He was shoved into boxes on lorries which thankfully was interceded before the worst happened 🙁

Ginger is now here with us and is a wonderful dog. He is currently in foster in Canterbury, where he has been since June but keeps being overlooked. We love Ginger and he will make a fantastic pet. Ginger is about Labrador size, but quite calm. He walks brilliantly on the lead and is housetrained.

Ginger is okay with other dogs but would need to be the only pet in a household as he can be a bit bossy with other dogs and doesn’t like cats. But he will more than make up for being the only pet as he loves cuddles so much. Ginger bonds strongly with people and would suit a quiet home where he can chill out. He has been tormented by children in the past so can be a little wary around them to begin. He is a star and we want him in a loving home. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with his own pet passport.

Beacon Animal Rescue Centre (BARC)
For further details regarding adopting a dog from Beacon Animal Rescue Centre (BARC) in Canterbury, Kent, please email info@barc.uk.com (please allow around 48 hours for a reply, our phone number is for emergencies only). Please note, an adoption fee applies. Our ethos is a modest one; to save one life at a time. We believe that animals deserve a chance for a better life no matter where they are born in the world. That is why BARC are committed to rescuing dogs and cats from both within the UK, as well as rescuing animals from countries where they face extreme hardships and have no other alternatives, like Romania. In the future we also hope to be able to contribute towards neutering programmes in countries that need it most.
