Grace – 5 year old female Caucasian Shepherd Cross

This is Grace, or the B.F.G! She’s five years old and she’s a big girl, it has been said that she may be a Caucasian Shepherd cross. Grace fostered in Bloxwich (FR037). Grace is beautiful in every way, friendly, sweet and gentle, it is difficult to imagine that she was almost killed just because shes not a small cute dog. Grace was in a shelter that was due to have a cull. A post went out on facebook and people rallied to save as many dogs as possible. Sadly nobody opted to save Grace because its so hard to find anyone who will take on big dogs. Fortunately our comrades at the dog rescue shelter share our ethics for helping the underdogs and thank God they swooped in at the eleventh hour and got her safely to their shelter.

When we visited Romania back in June this girl stood out in the crowd to me and not just because she stood head and shoulders above the other dogs in her pen. She was so pleased to see us so sweet in nature and we just knew she deserved the same chances in life as any cute lapdog anywhere! Grace is now in the UK and winning hearts all over the shop, here is what her fosterer has to say about her.

” She is fantastic with my other dogs and lovely with my children, she has been happy to meet every new person she has seen, at the moment she is still being lead trained but I can’t see any issues there, she was great even on her first walk to the shops, she is a big, strong girl but doesn’t seem to realise it, all she wants right now is somewhere warm and comfy to sleep and good things to eat. If a big, beautiful dog is what you’re looking for she’s the girl for you, you’ll be rewarded with tail wags and drool and more love than you can comfortably handle, she’s absolutely wonderful. If you think you can handle giant tail wags and huge hugs give us a call, Grace would love to meet you.”

If that’s not a great reference then I don’t know what is.
