H – 4 month old male Saluki cross Lurcher

H is a Saluki cross Lurcher type who is around 4 months old and is being fostered in Bridgend, South Wales. He was found with a badly damaged front leg, which had to be amputated, and is learning how to manage just fine with three! H is a puppy and does love people, young and old. He is quite boisterous though so will not be rehomed with younger children. H gets on well with other dogs and will happily live with another dog of similar size/energy levels. H lives with cats in his foster home and has to be crated at night so he doesn’t chase them. He is learning that he shouldn’t bark at them either but, being a Lurcher, may always have this prey drive so we will say no cats!

Housetraining is a work in progress for H as he is still only a baby. If the back door is open he will toilet in the garden so he is getting there. H is used to sleeping in a crate at night. H hasn’t had much experience of ‘out and about’ yet as he has been having his vaccination injections. His new family will have to get him used to walking on the lead properly and all things outdoors.

A quiet home where any children in the house older and used to big dogs. Due to H’s age, he will need someone at home for most of the day and family who are prepared to work on his training in all areas. A secure garden, a nice comfy sofa, plenty of cuddles, play and walks, please. H is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet H in his foster home in Bridgend, South Wales.
