Hank – 7 month old male Mastiff Cross

Hank is a 9 month old Mastiff. He still has some growing to do but he is already a big lad. Hank came into our care because the owners had not anticipated what would be involved in caring for a large breed dog. He had not been socialised or trained and so we have had Hank in foster care for the last 2 months being trained and taught manners. Hank is now a wonderful dog, great off lead, great with other dogs (he lives with two) and is happily occupied by toys and has not been destructive at all.

Hank is very playful and loves lolloping around the garden so a good sized garden would be ideal for him. Hank recently went to a fun dog show and won a certificate for obedience and came 3rd in Most Handsome – this is a credit to the love and care his foster family have given him and so we really need to find him a home of his own so he can be loved and enjoyed by his new family.

Hank is a big lad, and stands tall at around 5ft 8in. Smaller children may be intimidated by his size and bouncy puppy ways and he isn’t great with cats, althugh he has been living with 3 for the last 2 months! If you are interested in adopting Hank you must be experienced with larger breed dogs and know what you are taking on both welfare wise and financially.
