Lovely tripawd Harry is about 2-ish years old Cross-Breed. We found him as a stray after he was hit by a car (which is how he lost his leg). He’s the small end of medium, about 11kgs. Harry is a very good boy! He loves all dogs, all people and is very gentle when taking food. He isn’t a cat fan so unless your cat is very dog confident we’d like a cat-free home please.
Despite only having three legs Harry is as good of an escape artist as his namesake Harry Houdini. Harry can climb anything (see picture of him on his fosterer’s shed!!) and get out of anywhere. And he loves exploring and climbing and chasing. So only homes with fully secure fencing will work for this monkey-dog. He will alert you to any passing squirrel/person/car. For this reason a more countryside-y home is preferred.
He is very, very cuddly and loving and would be a fabulous family pet. All he wants is cuddles and play and he’s very gentle with toys. He’s very calm in the house and loves snoozing for hours in his bed. He is good on the lead but his recall is absolutely terrible (don’t say we aren’t honest!).
He needs a home with experienced dog owners who are willing to work on his recall and who have a garden that is large enough for him to run around in. He would love a doggy friend and we will only rehome where he will have a buddy, ideally a well-behaved pooch he can learn the routine from.
Harry is house trained and can be left alone without chewing the place up. He’s just lovely. We are really hoping we can find Harry a home soon as he’s come on brilliantly with his fosterer and we’d love to see him reach his full potential with his forever family. Currently in foster in Cobham, Surrey. Up to date with his jabs, microchipped, castrated and has a pet passport in case you dare take him on holiday 🙂
Please note, a home check will be carried out prior to adoption and adoption contract and donation apply.
