Harvey – 2 year old male Akita
Meet Harvey, an excitable 2 year old young man Akita looking for a new home, after being picked up as a stray. Taken to the pound, Harvey served his seven days and has now been moved to FOA safe kennelling. Described as an alert and friendly boy, Harvey has obviously had previous training, and was happy to sit or lie down, wait and give his paw! Kennel staff at the pound claimed that Harvey loves his food; however he would patiently wait for a treat and take it gently. Despite being a small boy, Harvey pulls a lot on the lead, once out and walking for a while he calms down enough to respond to correction .
Harvey will be tested with different walking aides now that he is under FOA care. Currently untested with other dogs, Harvey will be further observed in kennels and this information updated accordingly! As a stray without history, Harvey will not be placed in a home with young children. For more information, please get in touch. He is based in West Yorkshire.
