Hector – 15 month old male Akita
This is Handsome Hector, an incredibly friendly 15 month old Akita young boy looking for a new home following a relationship breakdown. Welcoming and waggy, our assessor found Hector to be a relaxed and happy lad, keen to cuddle up for more hugs! Demonstrating a good knowledge of commands, Hector is happy to sit when asked, and is very polite with treats, taking them gently when offered. Content to share toys with the other resident dog, Hector has not displayed signs of toy or food possession; out and about Hector walks nicely on the lead. Hector currently lives with teenage children, and will not be placed in a home with young children, due to a lack of experience around them.
Currently living with Mescha (FOA Ref: 164) we are confident that pending successful introductions Hector could live with another dog, and whilst they do not have to be re-homed together, applications to adopt Mescha and Hector as a pair will be welcomed.
