He is quite strong on the lead but settles after a while, he is currently in foster with several other dogs and after they explained the rules to him, he has settled in well. Hendrix has lived with children so can be homed with sensible children 8+. We have been told that Hendrix is cat friendly but we are unable to test this in his foster home.

Hendrix will be castrated prior to re homing, despite being entire he has been clean in the house. He travels well in the car and is clean and quiet overnight. Hendrix will be neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and will be up to date with flea and worming prior to re homing. He is currently on foster in Ramsgate Kent.

*Update May 2018*

Hendrix has been with us for some time, we placed him as reserved because he became unwell, he had a very upset tummy and lost weight. We are pleased to announce that his issue was dietary and has now been resolved. He will need to stay on a certain food (HTTPS://www.simpsonspremium.com/) This is readily available and suits Hendrix. He is a great dog who enjoys a game he has the potential to be re homed with or without other dogs, he does have some separation anxiety which his foster has been working on, this will need to be continued in his new home.

Hendrix has the potential to over bond so care will need to be taken to ensure that he is happy to occupy himself and does not become reliant on his owner. He would be best in a multi occupancy family to ensure that he has multiple care givers. Hendrix is fine to be re homed with older sensible teenagers who are happy to interact and play with him, as well as obligatory cuddle time on the sofa. He is clean in the house and travels well in the car. He can become a little protective of his owner with other dogs outside of the home, care will need to be taken to ensure that this is not allowed to happen.

He is a great little chap who has so much to give, we really would like Hendrix to find his forever home as he certainly deserves it. He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Hendrix is currently being fostered in SE12 London.

*Update July 2018*

Hendrix is a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be anywhere that you are. He is very well behaved at home, clean in the house, relaxed and laid back. He loves a cuddle on the sofa, the odd silly game in the garden and a decent walk. We are pleased to announce that his issue was dietary and has now been resolved. He will need to stay on a certain food (HTTPS://www.simpsonspremium.com/) This is readily available and suits Hendrix.

Hendrix is a dominant dog and he likes to make this clear to other dogs. He has enjoyed living with his foster brothers and sisters and even made firm friends with new foster dogs introduced to the family. However, there have been times where his bossiness has caused problems with new dogs. He will chase, ‘herd’ and generally boss a new friend around untill he’s comfortable that they pose him no threat. For this reason we are considering homes without a resident dog, or a home with small breeds, who won’t mind being the follower to Hendrix’s lead.

We are working with Hendrix on meeting other dogs when out on walks and some progress has been made, although he still hasn’t been trusted off lead in the dog park yet. He is, at least, great with meeting new humans and his dominance issues seem to be limited to his own kind. Hendrix loves his people and will bond quickly with his new family and is looking for someone to be around for most of the day. He can get distressed when left on his own and this can also trigger some tummy problems after. He has relaxed a little when being left for short periods, but we are still working with him on this. He is a great little chap who has so much to give, we really would like Hendrix to find his forever home as he certainly deserves it.

He has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with flea and worming treatment. Hendrix is currently being fostered in SE12 London.
