Henry – 18 month old male Greyhound

Who can resist such a gorgeous smile? This is Henry, a beautiful brindle Greyhound boy who is only 18 months old and that loving face melts the heart of everyone who meets him. He’s a typical youngster who adores playtime and walks, has a huge sense of fun and would love a home with the time and enthusiasm to make the most of this youthful energy! Having said that, Henry is also a very typical greyhound with his tendency to flop down and go to sleep as soon as the fun is over and is generally very relaxed in his foster home. Henry can walk beautifully on the lead (when he concentrates!) but is easily distracted by everything else that looks a lot more fun and at times this can make him a bit of handful, especially with other dogs around.

We’re working with Henry to improve his social manners and he’s making good progress, so with this in mind, we would really like a more experienced home for him that will continue his training. He shares his foster home with another greyhound boy and a staffie girl and is loving every minute, so we think he would actually do really well with another dog to help show him the ropes – a steady, older greyhound girl would be ideal, but he’s flexible with his requirements!

Henry has the potential to be the most rewarding and loving greyhound, and just needs some calm, firm and above all consistent guidance during his ‘teenager’ phase – we know that given a couple of inches he will do his best to take at least five miles, all with a cheeky grin and sparkling eyes, but does settle down with the right guidance. Sadly for Henry, he has already been in two homes in his short life and we really need this next one to be his forever spot. If you have a space in your heart and the experience to offer a steady home for Henry, please get in touch – he’d love to hear from you.
