Henry

Meet Henry, he is a 3 year old castrated male Mastiff cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was brought back to us in September 2007 after only 2 weeks over protective – originally arriving in May 2006, after being found abandoned. He had been badly neglected in his first home and was found tied up in a garden without food or water.

Henry is a friendly lad if a little bit on the wary side. After all he has been through it is surprising that he loves people the way he does – although he will still bark at strangers. He loves going for walks but needs a very firm hand as he is a very strong dog and therefore very strong on the lead.

Henry knows some of his basic commands, and will sit nicely for his food – meal times are his favourite but that is only to be expected and he has started to put weight on since being here. He is a very playful lad – always full of beans and is seeking an energetic family where he can have fun.

He finds the kennel environment quite stressful as he is not great with other dogs and therefore doesn’t show himself off well here. He is seeking a new home without other animals and where any children are aged 12+ as he is rather OTT and boisterous. Can you offer our active lad a new life after his awful start in life?
