Collie Crossbreed , Female , 3 years 1 month old. Holly has come to Animal Care via Rochdale Dog Rescue and what a pretty girl she is! She was a little nervous when she first arrived but she has settled in nicely now and is always glad to get a visitor and plenty of fuss and attention. She is a typical collie and has a lot of energy and loves going for long, long walks and she adores playing with her toys. She is never happier than when it’s time to go into the paddock at the sanctuary with a football and has a fantastic time chasing after it, she could play for the England Ladies football team as she is that good! She is fine around dogs when she is off the lead but when she is on the lead she barks a lot when she sees another dog and will need on-going training with this issue.
She is also quite food possessive and will need training with this as well. Because of this particular problem we need to find her a home with a fairly experienced owner in a home with much older children only and no other pets. She is only a young girl and she is very intelligent so she will hopefully learn quickly. Her new family will obviously have to be active and give her all the exercise she craves and all the mental stimulation that she needs in order to keep her from getting bored and keep her healthy. Within the right family, with the training that she needs, she will blossom into a really good girl and will be finally happy that she has a family who will love her forever and a home where she can stay always. Could you give this gorgeous girl the security and stability that she desperately needs?
