Hoopy – 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Hoopy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the Vet thinks he is between 2-3 years of age. He came up to Scotland from an emergency boarding rescue down south. This boy was in a local pound and as his time was up, he was due to be PTS. He was already neutered and is now vaccinated and microchipped. No-one who meets this adorable boy can understand why he was unclaimed. He has obviously had some training and will for example sit for a biscuit.

Hoopy absolutely loves travelling in the car!! Since arriving at the kennels he has been on many daily outings where he had very close contact with a Lab and a Staffie X (bitches). All was very friendly with no problems at all. He has also been out and about in situations where he met all kinds of dogs – he was a very friendly boy most of the time, but we suspect he might try to dominate a more timid dog. He is a strong, healthy, active dog. At the moment he is very strong on the lead, but that may in part be because he is so excited by all the new people, sights and smells. As he is very amiable and very fond of his treats we think it wouldn’t be that difficult to train him to walk more calmly.

Hoopy is incredibly affectionate and utterly adorable and likes to give you lots of kisses! He is absolutely stunning and a complete delight to be with – none of his photos do him justice! He has met lots of children on his outings and has always been very, very affectionate towards them. However, as we don’t know his history we will not rehome Hoopy to a home where there are young children or cats. We think that after suitable introductions, he could live happily with another confident dog or bitch.

The ideal home for Hoopy would be an active one with some experience of Staffordshire Bull Terriers or similar strong breed. We would prefer that he lived in a home with a garden and high fences.
