Hope is approximately 1 year old. She is a small mixed breed dog. Hope is fostered in Norwich (FR128). Hope was found struggling to survive and raise a puppy by the roadside in Romania. Probably there were other puppies that did not make it through winter where temperatures dip to minus twenty. Since arriving here Hope has been very nervous but has grown extremely fond of my other dogs, especially the youngest female dog who she regularly plays with. Once Hope
Hope is very frightened of men and she does tend to keep her distance. Although over time I feel with a lot of love and affection Hope will overcome this fear. Hope does go for walks with my other dogs and with gentle coaxing she walks well although she can be spooked by cars and noises. This lead training does need to be kept up to improve Hope’s confidence. Hope lives here happily in her foster home with my teenage daughters and cats and my other dogs. I do feel that Hope would benefit from being homed with another dog so she can grow with confidence and learn. She would also be fine living with cats as she is not interested in them at all.
As Hope is a nervous small dog I do feel that she would be better being homed with older children preferably from 12 years upwards, so they are old enough to understand Hope’s fears and respect her space when needed, as noises and sudden movements do frighten her. With the right home and the love and attention Hope deserves she will be a wonderful little dog and a life long companion.
