Iggy – 10 year old male Cross-Breed

Iggy is a lovely old boy who has spent the first ten years of his life in the dog shelter in Romania and has never known the creature comforts and love of being someone’s beloved companion. He came to Oakwood in October ’12 following a partnership with Romanian Underdogs and has shown himself to be very gentle and loving, and as you may expect after a life in a shelter – great with other dogs. All he needs now is a loving home for his twilight years! He has never really been tested in a home environment, so there are things that are unknown, such as cats, children, house training, and even basics like getting up and down stairs, so we think Iggy is looking for a special home – a patient home, with someone who understands this background and accepts he may not be a ready made pet, but with some time and perhaps a little effort he will reward you with his heart. He would probably also like a calm resident dog to show him the ropes and teach him to be a house dog and pet. If you think you may be the right fit for the lovely Iggy please do get in touch – we would love to hear from you.
