These are three out of a litter of five Lurcher Cross puppies. Two are smooth-haired, the other three are rough-haired and are aged approximately 5 months old. Initially unsocialised in every way they are full of life, responding well to training and really deserve to be in a home situation.
We care for our dogs well, but kennel life is never the same as being part of a loving home.

Sinead is a German Wire-Haired Pointer female aged approximately 7 years old. Sinead is a lovely girl who is obedient, obeys commands, walks well on a lead and just wants someone to love and care for her.

Hello my name is Hamish, I’m a 3 year old, medium sized male cross-breed, who arrived at The Mayhew as a stray. I’m very confident and friendly with everyone I meet and I’m very responsive to training. I can be vocal so would need someone who is at home all day. I’m a playful boy, I enjoy playing with my toys and I also love cuddles and giving and receiving affection.
I’m not keen on other dogs, although I am improving, but I will need to be walked on a long line and wear a muzzle on my one hour daily off lead walks in the park. My new guardians will be expected to take me to training classes and to work on my socialisation around other dogs.
They will be experienced with dogs and any children in my new household will be ten years and upwards. I’m an extremely affectionate dog and I’ve been told I will make a fantastic companion. My new guardians will be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
A very polite dog who has the manners of a gentleman, sensible and well-behaved he will make a loyal and loving companion. Hope to see you soon, Hamish x

Hello my name is Bremner, I’m an 8 years young male Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who came to The Mayhew as a stray. I’m both calm and laid back and I adore people. I hate to be ignored and I will bark to get your attention if I feel I’m being left out. I’m well-behaved indoors and out, walk well on my lead and I’m responsive to commands. I’m told I’m an intelligent, intuitive gentleman, who seems to get along fine with other dogs.
I’m a gentle and affectionate dog, ideally I’m looking for a new home without young children as I’m now ready now for a quieter home. I would suit someone who is experienced with dogs or has owned a Staffordshire Bull Terriers before. My favourite game is playing fetch and I will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day.
I like my comfort and love nothing more than cuddling up on the sofa together, do you have a sofa big enough for me to share? My new guardians will be taking on a seven year commitment which must not be taken lightly. Hope to see you soon, Bremner x
