Indy is a 6 year old black and white English Springer Spaniel who has come into foster for biting. Indy took a long time to settle into his foster home, he came with an ear infection and alot of aggressive behaviours. Indy has done extremely well, we have worked through all of his issues to the point where we only now occasionally get a low grumble as he is doing as you have asked, whereas in the beginning it would be a stand off. He now prefers to moan but move.
He is still a little wary and prefers a low approach as he finds this less intimidating and responds a lot better. Indy can become defensive when confused, if you put him under pressure or dominated. He needs someone who is aware of dog behavior and body language. Giving Indy clear boundaries with time and patience Indy will be a lovely companion giving out licks all the time. He does like his space alone and would like a place of his own to take himself off to.
Indy would suit as only dog. He is fantastic on a lead, his recall is 9/10. Fully house trained. Indy is a lovely boy he loves attention and being by your side. He loves his long walks of over 2 hours and flushing out birds. He would need a farm life roaming around or days out flushing. He cannot be rehomed with children although he loves them. Indy is in foster in North Yorkshire and he is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead.
Adoption is subject to meet and greet, homecheck and adoption donation of £200. Applications via forms section of website please.
