Jack – 12-18 month old male Jack Russell Terrier

Jack is a 12-18 month old male Jack Russell Terrier. One of our friends in Spain heard crying, she could not tell where it was coming from in the morning she woke up, opened the front door and there he was shivering on her doorstep. He was in a right state she brought him to the Vet and contacted us. He is not our usual Terrier but he needed help and desperately. We took one look at that face and fell in love. He spent a lot of time in Spain as he has Leishmania and was being treated and made healthy enough to make the trip over, he also has received a very new treatment using his own immunotherapy and he will be tested soon to see if it is successful, this will mean he should live without the need of medication.

Currently he is taking a quarter of a pill, he is doing very well, he still has some of the left over signs, but we will discuss with any prospective adopter his condition and possible future treatment. He is very much a puppy and very much into enjoying life in the full terrier way. He is fine with dogs, but in a typical Jack Russell Terrier way he is feisty and will not let any of them get the better of him. He can live with another dog but it will be a dog that will not be bothered by a Jack Russell Terrier and his sometimes bossy ways.

He likes all the attention and will need a household that is prepared to channel this and work on further his training. He likes to play, chew, have a good wander. Travels well in the car, and can be left for short periods. In Spain, it is obvious he was neglected and abused. So like so many of our dogs, they still want to be with people, but can be timid or fearful. When Little Jack is scared he may wee, so he will need a household that understands his problems, have compassion and help him. He is a bright, cuddly chap and we think he will make that special someone a perfect companion.
