Jackpot – 4 year old male Bucovina Shepherd

Jackpot is a 4 year old Bucovina Shepherd. He was abandoned by his owners in Romania and consequently hit by a car damaging his back leg. He was running scared for two months before Alina finally gained his trust enough to catch him and is now in the UK looking for a home. Since arriving in our care we have had the leg operated on and repaired as well as any old injury can be. We hope that in time that will will strengthen but in the meantime he does not let this impact his life in anyway. Jackpot is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001).

We are looking for large breed experienced adopters to take this boy on and would expect them to do their own research on the breed before picking up the phone to inquire. None of the Romanian shepherd breeds are suitable for inexperienced adopters. They were initially bred to live out on the fields and mountains and guard livestock. Jackpot is very typical of his breed and is extremely devoted to his family and sees himself as their protector. Jackpot is very loving and affectionate but needs firm rules and boundaries as he’s far too big to be allowed to be unruly.

We are looking for an adult home for Jackpot, ideally a single person who lives alone. He can live with other dogs but occasionally takes exception to some males.
