Jackson – 15 month old male Border Collie

Jackson is a male Border Collie and is 15 months old, (as of 28/01/2013). Jackson is good with children, cats and is okay with most other dogs. He came into kennels as the owners divorced and now have no garden. Jackson has done nothing wrong. Jackson is a lovely boy, a real sweetie, very gentle loving dog. He is very good on the lead and does a nice sit. He likes a squeaky toy. Jackson is fully house-trained and does not bark when he is left alone. To be honest he is an ideal youngster as he has lots of training already in place.

However, as Jackson is a young Border Collie he will need an active and busy home with plenty of stimulation and exercise or he will become bored and unhappy. Jackson would be an ideal candidate for obedience or agility work. Please do not inquire after Jackson if you only intend walking him for a couple of short walks a day. He needs an active home! Jackson is residing at Hillside Kennels, 3 Claverhambury Kennels, Claverhambury Road, Waltham Abbey, Essex, (11am-3pm Mon-Sat) Please phone for any further information or visit our website at www.rspcaessex-southwest.co.uk.

RSPCA Essex South West
The RSPCA Essex South West Branch is, like all RSPCA branches, an independent charitable trust. As such, it has to be financially self-supporting – in other words it has to raise the funds it needs to support its animal welfare activities. The Branch covers an area ranging from Dagenham & Barking in the South to Epping & Nazeing in the North, Waltham Abbey to the West and Abridge to the East. Although we do rehome our dogs to all other areas. The Branch is run and staffed entirely by volunteers. The main activity of the Branch is in rescuing and finding new homes for companion animals that for a variety of reasons are either homeless or cannot stay with their present owner. We work in partnership with Goddard's Chingford Kennels, who board and care for our rescue dogs. All dogs who are rehomed from us will have their initial course of vaccinations, worm and flea treatments, will be neutered, microchipped and come with 6 weeks free pet insurance in conjunction with the RSPCA and More Than insurance company. In the last eight years (to December 2012) the RSPCA ESSEX SOUTH WEST Branch has re-homed approximately 2200 cats and 1700 dogs. 220 dogs were re-homed in 2013.
