Jake is an 18 months ex farm dog who showed no interest in working with sheep. He is a Collie crossed with an Australian Kelpie, a very common cross in North Wales where they are bred to work with sheep. Jake was being badly neglected on the farm and was rescued by a caring person who took him to her own home. He is now house trained and getting used to living inside a home with strange noises though he is still scared of traffic.
A rural home out of sheep country would be ideal for him. He is fine with other dogs and might be best living with another as he suffers from separation anxiety. His rescuer has got him used to a crate when she is out though of course we never recommend the use of these for anything other than a short time. He is a very friendly dog and we are keen for him to have the chance of a permanent loving home. He has also been around cats in his foster home and he is vaccinated but is being neutered this week.
