Jake – 3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross Beagle

Jake is a stunning Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Beagle cross of about 3 years old and is currently on foster in Benson, Oxfordshire.

Jake is looking for a home with someone around most of the day as he does like the company of people, initially as he is settling in he may worry when left, but once he realises you are coming back he calms down.

We are looking for a home for Jake with another dog in as he loves the company of dogs and can play for hours. Jake cannot be rehomed with cats or small furries.

Jakes basic obedience is good and we feel in the right home he could excel in obedience or agility, his recall however does need some work as he can suffer from selective deafness.

Jake can be wary initially when meeting men, but when he knows them and they react calmly around him he soon settles down, he loves children but due to his size we feel a family with children 8 or older would be most suitable.

A secure well fenced garden is a must as boy can he jump! So another must is an active home who will help him use his energy in the right way on walks and training which he loves and is extremely eager to please.

Here’s what his foster family has to say:

I have had Jake with me for a week now and heres a quick update for you. This dog is so lovely he just adores to be out and about with you exploring in the bushes. He is great with my dog Barney they play really well together and every other dog we have met he is also great with. He is good on the lead once he is over the excitement of getting out the door! He does know the basic commands and is very good in the home. All I can say is he is adorable.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.
