Jake – 4 year old male Dobermann
Jake is a 4 year old Dobermann and is currently on foster in Ulceby, North Lincs. Jake has a deformity of his back legs. Vet checks have confirmed that he has been like this since birth, his back end resembles a seal! However, this doesn’t stop him enjoying life and off lead walks. He has come on leaps and bounds in his foster home.
Jake is looking for an experienced home as he has spent most of his life in kennels and is sometimes nervous, although he doesnt show this in an aggressive way whatsoever. He is on foster with other dogs and we would prefer he found a home with the company of another dog.
Jake is a loving dog and very gentle and quiet, he rarely barks, his fosterers have however had to endure comments from the public re his condition when walking him, so new owners will need to be aware they may need to explain his condition etc time and time again.
Jake hasnt been cat tested but when seeing cats when out on walks he has not reacted. He hasnt actually been tested with children yet, but he is a gentle dog , due to his nervousness in new situations we would prefer a quieter household with children over 8. All children would have to come and meet Jake.
Jakes basic training is coming along in his foster home , and his recall is very good.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.
