Jasper is a black and white male Wire Haired Fox Terrier cross. He is aged around 18 months-2 years. He came into our care as his owner was quite elderly and in poor health and was finding it difficult to care for him. He is currently in foster care. Jasper has had a very sheltered start and it is evident he has not had a lot of training. He was scared of many things when he first arrived ,including the garden! However his confidence has grown lots now and he is a sweet, cheeky, funny little dog who loves to play tug with his teddies. He is very friendly, affectionate and loves cuddles and tummy tickles.
Jasper does have a habit of barking at visitors coming into the house however he soon calms down once they have sat down. He can also be a little jumpy over sudden noises and can startle easily. Jasper loves attention and enjoys company a great deal so he would not suit a home where he would be left for long periods. As he hasn’t had much training, he also needs someone who is willing to put in the work with him and teach him firm but fair and consistent boundaries with reward based training.
Jasper is not to be rehomed with any other cats or dogs. He is also not to be rehomed with children or a home that has regularly visiting children.
