Jaz – 2 year old female Rottweiler

Jaz (Jasmine) is a 2 year old female Rottweiler, she hasn’t come from a very nice home, we don’t believe she’s been ill treated but the environment was pretty bad, with many hazards in the garden, whenever she was left outside which was on a regular basis she didn’t have adequate shelter, she was also not getting the medical attention she required for her ears. She also had a litter a few months ago.

She has also been spayed, Jaz has been health checked, micro-chipped, wormed, deflead, 1st vaccination her ears were looked at too, she has a bad infection in both ears, it was allowed to escalate without treatment and Jaz is suffering as a result. She’s been given ear drops to be administered twice a day. She had them cleaned out under aneasthetic, over time the infection should clear and she’ll be back to normal.

Jaz is a very gentle docile dog, the Inspector describes her as being a real softie with no malice! She has lived with a male rottweiler and a Rottweiler puppy and another cross-breed, so she seems fine with other dogs. She has not lived with cats so we’d prefer she wasn’t homed with any.

She’s not lived with children but we’ve been assured due to her nature she’ll be trustworthy, they had children visiting on a regular basis. The Inspector has been working on the case for some months and has met Jaz on a few occasions, he said she’s bomb proof!

This dogs needs a loving home, where she will have a decent routine of regular walks, socialisation, a big garden to play in and above all security, where she will be cared for and allowed to enjoy life as dogs should.

Jaz really is a gentle placid dog, she loves a bum and chin rub! She is in a lot of discomfort with her ears and I think that’s taking the edge of her wanting to play because she was only semi interested in a toy. She is excellent on the lead and was fine with all the dogs in the kennels as we passed them, even those who were aggressive.

She’s quite small for a Rottweiler, but she’s such a sweet girl if a bit bewildered by her change of circumstances, she’ll definately be a loyal and loving friend to her new owner!
