Jem and Julie are 12 week old black and white female Lurchers. Jem and Julie can only be described as outstandingly beautiful black and while almost full bred greyhounds. Both really stunning looking little girls, they are from a litter of five Lurchers. They are both full of confidence and eager to learn. They mix well with other dogs, love humans and both love hugs and kisses. They love to play chase with their other siblings and games of tug. The litter are a mix of Lurcher, Greyhound, Saluki, all stunning and adorable, but Jem and Julie are predominately Greyhound. They are full of energy, extremely fit and healthy with fantastic coats which gleam. They can live with other dogs and are young enough to be trained to live with cats although they are dogs with a high prey drive and we would like children to be over 8 years of age.
We would prefer homes where someone is around all or certainly most of the time to ensure that they develop into well behaved and contented adults. Housetraining and basic training will need to be continued with the pups and we would like the pups to be taken to training classes for basic training and to ensure they become well socialised adult dogs. A full home-check will be done and one of the main criteria is that the fencing will have to be at least six foot round the garden even if pups are rehomed to a rural location.
All these little girls have been vet-checked, microchipped, wormed and fully vaccinated but not yet spayed because of their age. They must be spayed when they are old enough, before 12 months old and this forms part of the adoption agreement. Evidence must be sent to us via our/your vet. If rehomed locally, this will be done free at our own vets. Adopters who live further afield are welcome to bring their Moorlands adopted dog back to be spayed.
We also provide four weeks FREE insurance. We do ask that if you wish to adopt a dog and already have one, that you bring it along to see if they get on.
