Jenny is a cute, smooth coated Patterdale Terrier cross who is only about four years old. When she came into our centre, she had puncture marks on her ears and she was in desperate need of a bath. She was unspayed and we believe that she was kenneled in close proximity with her unspayed sister. Such a combination of two dogs coming into season at the same time, in such an enclosed space, would have encouraged conflict between them and that is how Jenny came to have bite marks on her ears. Jenny is now spayed, has no known ongoing health issues and is a happy, loving dog. Being a bright girl she notices a lot what goes on around her and this means at times that she can be quite timid whilst she assesses situations. For this reason, we’d like to find a quiet and understanding home where she can gently spend time with people who don’t try to force too much attention on her too soon or a home where there is not too much rough and tumble. If Jenny’s new home has children, they will need to be mature, older teenagers.
Since Jenny was spayed, we have re-tested her at the centre with other dogs and we have noted no negative behaviour towards them so, as long as a potential match is assessed at our centre, we believe that she could live with other dogs. But Jenny’s new home should not have cats or small furries. Jenny may be small but her breed type makes her very active and she will need a minimum of two lots of walks a day. We believe that she would be fine on her own for around two hours but she really enjoys the company of her owners so we would like to find her a home where she can spend lots of time with them. So if you think that you can give Jenny the happy ending she deserves to her Winter’s ‘tail’, then do come and meet this button-nosed beauty at our centre in Attercliffe.
