Jeremy is about 17 months old. This lovely chap has come to us to find a new home because his family are no longer able to meet his needs. He is great with other dogs & loves people, adults & children alike. He likes to be the centre of attention & invents all sorts of silly things to do to make you laugh. Jeremy is house trained & not normally destructive, but on occasions may pinch & chew underwear from the laundry from the laundry basket – particularly if you have visitors , when he likes to show them his contraband before tearing it up. He needs plenty of exercise & if he doesn’t get it the excess energy he has gets him into trouble.
Jeremy will benefit in continuing his general obedience training, he sits etc very nicely, but like most Beagles his recall when out in the countryside leaves a lot to be desired, & if he is let off lead you may well end up walking alone. For this reason except for when you are in a very safe, preferably enclosed, location, he will need to walked in a lead, or preferably long line. This also means you will have to walk a lot further than with a free running dog, to satisfy his energy levels.
