Jessica is a 2-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a lovely, if timid, little ex-puppy farm girl who is learning that not all humans are bad. She is slowly coming out of her shell and showing definite signs of wanting to join in with play and cuddle sessions. She is ready to embark on the next stage of her journey and join a patient and loving family. Jessica is still very wary of humans, especially new people and takes a while to trust. She will jump on foster Dad’s lap for a cuddle and likes to sleep close to her humans. Although she is trying to trust, this is a slow process for her. Older children who will allow her to dictate the pace could be ideal.
Jessica is fine and well behaved around other dogs. Although Jessica has not been tested with cats we don’t believe this will be an issue. Jessica is housetrained and well behaved in the home. She has her own chair when she cannot get on foster Dad’s and she loves to sleep under his desk during the day. She is a quiet eater and is easily put off her food. Jessica suffers with Colitis which means that her diet is strictly controlled with grain-free food. She is not destructive at all and is still unsure of her toys. Jessica struggles on walks. Her anxious nature along with her past makes walks a chore for her and short walks are a real challenge. Access to quiet walks will be a real benefit to her.
Jessica deserves a loving home with a family who are able to give her the space and time to develop into a loving family pet. Older children could aid her in this process. Jessica is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
