JJ – 3 year old female Akita

This is JJ and she is a 3 year old Akita. She is friendly and looking for a new home following her rescue from death row in a pound. Incredibly happy to meet our assessor, her tail did not stop wagging for a second as she happily greeted everyone! A playful girl, she was happy to be given a toy to play with, she was keen to play fetch and did not display any signs of guarding. Similarly, she did not demonstrate any signs of food aggression or guarding. Content to sit for treats, she demonstrated a basic knowledge of commands, however she appears to be a fast learner – we feel that her training could be furthered more in a home situation.

Our assessors walked her on the lead, and report that she walks very nicely, at a good, gentle space and refrained from pulling towards other dogs in the kennels! she has so far had limited contact with other dogs, however we will obtain regular updates and update this information accordingly.

As a poundie without history, any knowledge about she comes from her time spent in rescue. With this in mind we are unsure of the level of interaction that she has had with other animals or children. With this in mind, she will not be placed in a home with children under the age of ten. Could this sweet and adorable girl be the Akita for you? please get in touch!

JJ is currently based in South Yorkshire
