Jo – 6 year old female Bichon Frise

Jo is a six year old Bichon frise ex breeding bitch, who is being fostered in Cardiff.  Jo loves other dogs and cwtching in to them to sleep. She will only be rehomed where there is already another resident dog to show her the ropes. Jo is still a little nervous of people but is getting better all the time. She is unsure of being picked up but relaxes when she is in your arms. She loves to be fussed when she is on the ground and runs around wagging her tail. Jo is a dear little dog with such a positive outlook on life. She loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home and sleeps with one in a crate at night although her preferred place is on the bed! She is happy to be left alone for a few hours with another dog for company. Basic commands like sit and stay need to be worked on as she has never had any training and a life in a home is very new to her. She is desperate to be loved but doesn’t quite have the confidence to relax but this will come in time.

Jo walks well on a harness and lead although she is a bit frightened when loud cars go past. She needs a little encouragement to walk the same way as you as she’s very interested in all the smells! The world is so interesting! Jo is a bit fidgety in the car at first but soon settles down and enjoys the journey. She was very good at the vets. Jo is quite relaxed most of the time at home. She is happy to see her foster family when they come home, she bounces around and wags her tail wanting to be stroked and made a fuss of. She does snore occasionally. She thinks she’s a guard dog at times and barks when she hears a knock at the door. At night when she hears a noise she’ll bark then settle down again. She makes you feel safe for one so small!

Jo will be expected to travel to visit Jo in her foster home We are looking for a home preferably with someone home for most of the day and with another dog for company. As Jo is still a bit scared and timid older sensible children would be best. She needs an owner who understands her needs and can work with her to build her confidence. She is a sweet little girl with lots of love to give, she will make a great companion. She really does deserve all the love in the world. Jo is up to date with her vaccinations and flea and worm treatment. She is neutered and microchipped. Potential adopters must be prepared to come and meet Jo in her foster home in Cardiff.
